NEWSLETTER - OCTOBER 2 2024
Dear One,
I was delighted at your attitude for our Greek Island retreat in May. It’s just so lovely to have an early summer.
The average temperature in May is 20°c.
So, we practice in the cool of the morning and have brunch at 11.
In the warmth of the afternoon you can walk on the beach, siesta, allow any stiffness to float away in the adjacent hot pools. There are fishing trips, donkey rides, archaeological sites to see, and you can hire a bike, scooter or car.
When booking your flight and accommodation with Jet2holidays and you have not got a partner to share with, or you want a single room, let us know.
When practising Asana our attitudes change. Can you feel your mood changing?
Are you aware that your thinking changes with a posture.
We are made up of energy/vibrations, which are changing all the time with our thoughts.
Has your attitude changed from how you felt when you walked into a class as to how you feel at the end? After the last posture Savasana. Do you feel light, quiet, happy, free?
Mind and body work together. The body can do nothing without permission from the mind. Hence what’s in your mind will instruct your body, as the body only knows the present. What’s in your mind will give an immediate and direct instruction to the body.
If you have the thought that you cannot do anything, then the body is not given a chance and will not do it.
"I cannot" means "I will not".
Positive thinking works too:
Say you want to go into a handstand. Then only think of yourself as sailing up into the handstand with no trace of the old impression of you not being able to kick up into it.
Or you have a cold – entertain the idea of a well you! With no attention on the cold.
“There is nothing wrong with you other than what you think is wrong with you.” – An Ishaya Monk.
Breathe well.
With love,
Ruth
