NEWSLETTER - DECEMBER 2024
Dear One,
You have plenty of energy, there is no need to feel tired. Remember it’s all in the head. An “I” statement is a description of your ego and therefore not quite true.
How to access your energy
When you have flopped down on the nearest sofa with; “I am exhausted”, “I cannot go any further!”, “I have run out of energy” and you believe that. So, with that thought in your mind the body obeys, and you apparently have no energy.
If the house burst into flames, the thoughts might change to “I have got to get out quickly” and the body would obey, and you suddenly have the energy.
When as a Yogi student you reach the point where you think you cannot hold the posture for a moment longer and you have to come out of it.
You have reached the limit of your known possibilities, and you believe you can go no further.
If told and encouraged to hold the posture longer – and you do.
A magical thing happens, you are into a reserve tank of energy. Please believe it! You then may have the idea that you definitely have to rest again.
This is all in your mind, so change your mind. Go further into the unknown and another miracle happens – there is a second tank of energy available.
There is no limit, it’s all in your mind.
Have a positive attitude.

Yoga Day is on Wednesday 11th December at the Beaconsfield Hall, Shipton-under-Wychwood, OX7 6BQ, 9.45am – 3pm.
The topic for this practical day is presents and Presence.
Be happy
A present given with love is a precious gift.
You can see the joy it gives to those preparing Christmas fare: feasts, decorations, stockings, choosing and wrapping.
So, it is a present to yourself as well as the reciprocates.
Be present, attention is the greatest present you can give anybody.
Next term begins on Tuesday 7th and Wednesday 8th January. The 8th is also a Yoga Day.
Breathe well.
With love,
Ruth
