NEWSLETTER – JUNE 2023

Dear ones,

The name for blue sky in Sanskrit is Akasha. It’s the same name for Mind Space.

Relax and gaze into the blue sky, absorb it.

Empty space is so precious and yet we want to fill it, too much furniture, clothes, shoes, thoughts!

What burdens we choose to carry around with us.

How good it feels to go to the tip with unused “stuff” or give it away.

We want to hold onto the “stuff” we have not used for months or even years.

How do we let go of our attachments to the past and all the memories and stories that go with them?

Chris and Janet lived and managed a Crown Farm in Ascot-under-Wychwood. Chris needed to retire, so the Crown bought and gave them a beautiful Cotswold cottage on the perimeter of the farm. The farm was then sold to a farmer, who has let it go to rack and ruin. Chris cannot bear to see the land he loved and farmed all his working days being so neglected. He is most downcast and depressed about it, holding on to the memories of the past. He declared that he and Janet would have to give up their much-loved cottage and garden and move away.

Holding on to the past is not living at all. There is only the present – NOW. You cannot live in the past or future – they are in your head, your imagination.

Make time for the things you love.

Whatever you are doing, give it your full attention and when you are focused in the present there is no time for past or future thoughts.
