Dear Friend
We had a wonderful week of yoga in the Greek Island of Lesbos. The Sunrise Hotel, overlooking the Aegean Sea, offered panoramic views from every room and we could see the craggy flower covered terrain and coves for swimming and sunbathing. The hotel provided transport into the village of Molyvos and to the hot springs. The buffet brunch after yoga offered a great variety of delicious and healthy food for all tastes and the local tavernas hosted us for evening meals. Next year’s retreat is already in the diary for the last week of May 2019.
Come to a special day at Hawkwood on Saturday 28th July and enjoy the magnificent views, excellent organic lunch and, most importantly, time to explore pranayama, meditation and talks. (you will need to book directly with Hawkwood College – 01453 759034 or info@hawkwoodcollege.co.uk) The theme for the talks will be observing the effects of the asanas on our attitudes. Please say if you would like a lift or can give one (it’s under an hour’s drive from here) and let us know that you are coming. The late enrolments last time frightened the management as they thought no one was coming!
Our regular residential at Park Place is from Saturday 27th to Wednesday 31st October 2018. It’s in the heart of the Hampshire countryside and is most peaceful and quiet. We held our first ever yoga weekend there in 1974! Priority will be given to those coming for the 5 days. Let us know if you would like a single or ensuite room.
On the Solstice and on the equinox the body has a greater chance to eliminate toxins. It’s like full moon but more so. Last Thursday was the solstice and you may have been feeling effects such as tired, skittish or headaches. All good as the body is throwing out toxins. Drinking fresh water helps to wash these away.
Breathe well
Love
Ruth
