NEWSLETTER - OCTOBER 23

Hello dear One,


“Make hay while the sun shines” is reversed for me, I appear to have more energy when it cools down.

Have you noticed how energy levels fluctuate? Up with dark chocolate and honey, inspiring ideas and good company, and down with circulating thought, low breathing, lack of exercise and eating stodge.

Remembering that the energy is always there but can be obscured by thoughts, like clouds obscure the sun but it’s always shining somewhere.


Practicing Asana frees us from limiting ideas, such as judgements, likes and dislikes, prejudices, patterns of behaviour, labels, and believing you cannot do.

We have accepted these ideas and believing them to be true, so we are locked in by these adopted ego ideas.

How can we be free from these ideas and stresses that we have created for ourselves?

The body only knows the present.


It is always here.


Synchronising with your body will take you out of your past, head stuff, and bring you back to the now.

The body has no past or future and always obeys your thoughts. It can do nothing without permission or instruction from your mind. Believing your thoughts to be in the present - so you can see how what you believe you can do, the body will do.


We can change our attitude.


A mindful practice will allow our attitudes to change. Keep your attention in the present, on what is in front of you.


I know you have experienced this freedom in savasana at the end of your practice or a class.

Come out of your ego cloak and feel the limitless freedom available now, free from restricting thoughts.

You will not find lasting happiness in the world.


‘Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth. But store up for yourselves treasures in Heaven. Where your treasure is.’


Heaven is acceptance, if you are in a challenging situation take a step back and look again. A change of attitude and your world can change.


Everything that happens to you is a direct consequence of who you think you are. Step up, you are a good person.


For distance students, Tuesday 7-8.15pm is now on Zoom and being recorded (if this time is not convenient for you). Let me know if you would like a link. It is £10 per class.


The class will be Yoga and Mindfulness and it’s not a challenging class but directed on bringing your mind back into the present.
